Beginning immediately, IDEM is offering a new incentive for Indiana certified wastewater operators who prepareIDEM DMRs, MMRs or MROs and are not already using NetDMR.  If you complete the enrollment process for NetDMR and begin submitting DMRs and MMRs/MROs for the first time using NetDMR (Live/Production), between February 27, 2015, and the effective date of the Federal e-Reporting Rule (anticipated to be by December 31, 2015), or the end of 2015, whichever comes first, IDEM will grant you two technical contact hours toward the renewal of your wastewater operator’s license.

This incentive applies to Indiana certified wastewater operators who have not previously submitted DMRs using the NetDMR application.  This incentive is only available once per person and once per permit.

To begin the enrollment process for NetDMR, please contact your area inspector, or any of the people listed on the accompanying contact list.  You can also go to the IDEM website at http://www.in.gov/idem/6765.htm, scroll down to Step 3, click on the NetDMR Test Website link and begin the process yourself.  Once you have completed the enrollment process and have successfully submitted a complete and accurate DMR using NetDMR (live), you may submit the Wastewater Operator/Apprentice Continuing Education Credit Report (State form 51139) to the Office of Water Quality, Compliance Branch, along with documentation that a DMR has been successfully submitted to IDEM using NetDMR (live/production) to receive your two hours of credit.

U.S. EPA’s proposed federal e-Reporting rule will require all NPDES permit holders to submit their NPDES compliance information electronically.  So here is an opportunity to beat the rush and earn some contact hours at the same time.  Use these links to get started:
