Not to be outdone, the Southern Indiana Operator’s Association (SIOA) offers an Indiana Department of Environmental Management Wastewater Operators’ Certification Course in the spring of the year. For the past few years it has been held in Shelbyville, Indiana. Shelly Leffew Higdon is present at most of the training sessions to make sure everything is taken care of for their membership and the attendees.  For that Wastewater 101 sent Shelly the “slinky” t-shirt she is modeling.
