This past week on September 9th and 10th Wastewater 101 was in Shelbyville, Indiana, for the 2-day Certification Review Session. The Intelliplex Conference Center was a fantastic venue for the course and was perfectly set up for training. During the two days we reviewed how to fill out the Discharge Monitoring Report, using the Monthly Report of Operations, Basic math using the Conversion boxes and the Davidson Pie Chart, Indiana Operator’s Certification Manual, Preliminary, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Treatment, Solids Handling, Laboratory and Safety. Students were given handouts for class and after the class, tests and quizzes to help them to continue to study were sent out. Even though it was a smaller class they never the less were very eager to learn and were very attentive and full of question. Students were studying for Class I to Class 4 and D and those who were already certified received 14 Tech hours of contact time. We wish them the best of luck on their exam.
